Detail-oriented technician needed to maintain and certify electric chain hoists (primarily Liftket, but experience with CM, EXE, or other touring-grade hoists is welcome). Background in stage production equipment or motor repair preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Service, repair, and maintain Liftket hoists and similar electric chain hoists
- Perform brake adjustments, bearing replacements, and general AC motor diagnostics
- Conduct rigging hardware inspections, chain assessments, and lifting certifications
- Clean and maintain hoists and road cases to touring spec
- Accurately manage parts inventory and job tracking
- Support warehouse operations as needed for live event prep and return gear inspection
Qualifications:
- Experience with AC motor repair/maintenance (Liftket, CM, EXE, or similar)
- Understanding of DC brake systems, chain hoist internals, and lifting safety
- Basic electrical knowledge and comfort working around 3-phase power (training provided)
- Mechanically inclined and confident using hand and power tools
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on your feet, and occasionally climb ladders
- Familiarity with live event or touring production environments is a strong plus
